Almost 3 months already!
Where does the time go? She has changed so much already. Her yucky baby acne is totally gone but she has a little touch of cradle cap. I think I'd rather have the cradle cap cuz at least you can hide that with a hat and there are actually ways to get rid of it. She is so alert all the time and we don't have to hold her head anymore. She is holding it up great on her own. I try to remember to give her tummy time every day but for some reason, it escapes me until the end of the day. So she's getting about 5 minutes rather than the 15 minutes daily that her doc recommended. She loves being outside and staring at leaves in trees. It's really cute. She hates sitting in her car seat and tries to sit up when she's in there. It looks really funny. She's also not too big on car rides, especially at night, so I tend to keep the overhead light on when it's dark so she can see. She doesn't fuss as much when it's on. She is still the most annoying breast feeder ever. She is constantly breaking the latch and then going back on. It really makes for a long and messy feeding. But at least she is eating and growing. She weighs around 11 pounds now and has grown 4 inches since her birth. Overall she is a good baby which I am so thankful for since Vaughn is definitely right on schedule with the TERRIBLE twos. Here are a few pics of Lila from the last couple weeks.

hubba hubba hubster

Willie just emailed these pictures to me to show me what his friend Steve's new camera lense is like. I think he looks pretty damn sexy. Or as my friend Courtney likes to say, "sexy time." Even though kissing that mustache feels like making out with a broom. Good thing it comes off December 1st. If I didn't have to kiss him all the time I would say he could keep it. But you can't not kiss your husband. That's just weird.

Farewell my friend

I have made the first step towards slimming my leftover preggy fat which has decided to accumulate on my belly. I have said adios to soda. No more. That was one of the hardest goodbyes I've ever experienced. It has been a little over a week. And I am still craving that sugary burst of yummy carbonation every day. But the cravings have died down a little. The first few days were insane. It's all for the best though. That stuff is so bad for you. And Vaughn was starting to want sips too. Don't want to go down that path just yet. He's already a juice hound. So farewell my fizzy friend. It won't quite be the same without you. But my body will thank me in the end.

Halloween in Balboa

We started Halloween doing a very un-halloweenie thing. We went sailing with our friend Mimi's parents and my aunt & uncle on their boat. Vaughn loved it and wanted to sit on the bow the whole time. It was a pretty short trip due to a major lack of wind, but we did see some whales which was amazing to me. I've always wanted to see a whale and never have until that day. When we got back we carved some pumpkins and I have to say, I totally ruled it. I've never really enjoyed carving pumpkins before, because I hate scooping out all that goop and getting messy and sticky. But for some reason I got super into it this time around. Next year it's on for sure.

Then we got the kids in their costumes and headed out. Vaughn was a monkey which suited him very well, and Lila was a hotdog with mustard. I was surprised because Lila turned out to be the one that didn't want to wear the costume. Vaughn was totally fine with his and didn't even get scared trick or treating. I totally thought he was going to freak out knocking on stranger's doors. Especially when most of the houses we went to had scary decorations and the owners were dressed up too. But he caught on pretty quick that these people were giving out candy and he was way into that. So I guess the need for sweets won out over fear. We made it home pretty early and were in bed by 9. Nice night overall but I can't wait til next year when Vaughn really knows what is going on.

Vaughn's First Job

I totally stole this post from my hubster's blog but I wanted to share it too! It's pretty hilarious. Our ozzie friends own an awesome sunglasses company called Sabre and asked if Vaughn would be in a photo shoot for an upcoming ad. So we brought him over to see if he would do it and literally the second we handed him over, he burst into tears. It actually turned out kinda cool still, but they didn't end up using the pictures with him in them in the end. Oh well, his baby modeling career was short lived, but maybe he will have better luck in the future :)
